The Tennis Education & Mentoring Program, a 501-C-3 nonprofit organization, uses tennis as a vehicle to bring education help, mentoring, and healthy nutritional opportunities to children who are at-risk or under-resourced.

The Program was founded to reach and empower children and equip them with the life skills and knowledge to become contributing members of their communities. The T.E.A.M. Program provides free, high quality tennis lessons to underservered members of the local youth community and ensures that no child is denied access or opportunity to participate in this game of a lifetime. The Tennis Education and Mentoring Program is also committed to providing educational, fitness, and nutritional opportunities for children through the sport of tennis.

The T.E.A.M. Program focuses on healthy nutritional and lifestyle options for the children in the program. It is unquestionable that today’s youth are less active and less engaged than those of the past, resulting in record numbers of obese children. Through the game of tennis, we are encouraging children to become and remain active as well as to make well informed and nutritious food choices. Tennis is a sport of a lifetime, so if the T.E.A.M. Program can get the children excited about the game and the benefits of playing, this will carry their passion to exercise well past the time they are with T.E.A.M program.
